Biography

Why did you choose this Master's program?
I chose Brown’s Master’s in Healthcare Leadership because as I reviewed the curriculum, I realized, academically and professionally it filled missing gaps. I continue to learn every day. In fact, the more I progress in what is seemly a highly successful career, I realize how much I don’t know. The more successful we become, the more at risk we are to closing off the ideas of others. Those ideas are critical to one’s continued success. I choose Brown because it was the perfect place to continue my growth.

What made Brown's program different from other programs you considered?
Brown offers diversity as a core component of their program. It is designed to challenge and stimulate your ideas through diversified thought-provoking leaders.

What did you enjoy most about your program?
The PEOPLE. Across the spectrum of people, from faculty to fellow students, I can honestly say, every single person holds a significant place in my journey. I consider my time and the people at Brown to be on the top five of my greatest gifts in life.

What was your primary academic area of interest?
My primary interest is Leadership. I happen to be in the healthcare industry; however, I believe the same principles apply to leadership across industries.

What are your postgraduate goals?
My postgraduate goals are to work in a political space that will impact change in healthcare for the underserved.

What did you like most about Providence?
I loved that Providence has a metropolitan vibe and at the same time offers a small-town experience!

What advice would you give to prospective applicants?
Brown will be one of the best decisions of your life. I would love to elaborate and I could, however, one must experience it! It will be the greatest gift you ever gave to yourself!
