Brown University's School of Professional Studies has launched two new specialized tracks within its online master’s in management (MiM) program: analytics and project management.

Designed for early-career professionals, the new tracks build on the MiM’s strong foundation in business management while adding specialized expertise in areas that are increasingly critical to organizational success. Students can choose to complete the traditional MiM curriculum or specialize through the analytics or project management track. The 16-month, fully online program allows students to deepen their skills while continuing to advance their careers.

The analytics track prepares students to curate, analyze and visualize data and turn complex information into actionable business insights. Students develop their management foundation alongside specialized coursework in Data Curation, Exploration and Visualization and Multimodal Analytics.

The project management track prepares students to plan, execute and deliver complex initiatives while leading teams and managing change. Specialized coursework includes Project Management for Technical Initiatives and Agile Product Management, giving students experience with project delivery approaches and product-oriented value creation.

Together, the new tracks give students the opportunity to align their graduate education with their professional goals — whether they want to use data to inform better decisions or translate strategy into successful execution.

“ We designed these new tracks to give students the opportunity to build deep expertise in areas that are increasingly critical to organizational success. Whether using data to inform better decisions or leading complex initiatives from strategy through execution, students will develop the management skills and specialized knowledge to create meaningful impact in today’s evolving business environment. ”

Andrew Banasiewicz Academic Director, Master’s in Management

Like the traditional online MiM program, both tracks can be completed in 16 months and are delivered fully online, with optional live sessions designed to deepen engagement with faculty and peers. Merit scholarships of up to 50% of tuition are available.
