The IE Brown Executive MBA is an authorized F-1 program and can issue I-20s to qualified international students to attend the Brown-hosted sessions in United States. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain the F-1 entry visa from the Department of State. The application process is managed by our partner institution, IE Business School, so please refer to the IE online application for more information about fulfilling transcript requirements.
International students are eligible to apply for the Healthcare Leadership and Technology Leadership program. To be considered, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), is mandatory for all international applicants (unless you have earned a 4-year degree from a university in the United States). We require a minimum score of 105 on the TOEFL internet-based exam or a minimum score of 7.5 on the IELTS. Brown will help facilitate the issuances of an F1 student visa. The visa issued is only valid during the times of the residential periods that take place in Providence, Rhode Island. With this F1 student visa, you are not able to come into the United States prior to the residential start period and you must leave the country after the completion of the residential period. Therefore, international students will be unable to stay in the U.S. in the months in-between these residential sessions at Brown.
For the Master's in Healthcare Leadership program, you will need three I-20s issued during the program (one for each residential period).
For the Master's in Technology Leadership program, you will need two I-20s issued during the program (one for each residential period).
An international transcript evaluation (WES, ECE, or The Evaluation Company) is required for degrees from non-U.S. institutions before enrollment.
