Online Master's in Management - Analytics Track

Brown University's online master’s in management: analytics track combines a strong foundation in business management with specialized analytics expertise. The analytics track builds on Brown's interdisciplinary approach to management by integrating advanced analytics coursework into the MiM curriculum. Students develop core business management knowledge while learning to curate, analyze and visualize data to generate actionable insights for organizations across industries.

Curriculum & Format

Students in the analytics track complete six of the same core management courses as all MiM students, including coursework in foundations, strategic management, business analytics, financial management, marketing management and operations management.

In addition to core curriculum, the track includes two specialized project management courses:

  • Data Curation, Exploration and Visualization: develops practical skills for preparing, exploring and communicating data through effective visualization techniques.
  • Multimodal Analytics: equips students to analyze complex data from multiple sources and transform it into meaningful business insights that support organizational decision-making.

Together, the curriculum prepares graduates to combine business strategy with analytical thinking to solve complex organizational challenges.

Career Paths

Graduates are prepared for advancement into analytical, strategic and management positions such as:

  • Business Analyst
  • Strategy Analyst
  • Analytics Consultant
  • Market Research Analyst
  • Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Decision Support Analyst
  • Operations Analyst

The combination of management and analytics skills also prepares graduates for leadership roles where interpreting data, communicating insights and driving strategic decisions are essential.
