Students in the project management track complete six of the same core management courses as all MiM students, including coursework in foundations, strategic management, business analytics, financial management, marketing management and operations management.

In addition to core curriculum, the track includes two specialized project management courses:

• Project Management for Technical Initiatives: develops the knowledge and practical skills to lead complex projects using predictive, hybrid and Agile delivery approaches while managing scope, schedules, budgets, risk and stakeholder expectations. 
• Agile Product Management: explores product strategy, customer discovery, roadmap development and Agile frameworks, preparing students to lead cross-functional teams in delivering products that create lasting organizational value.

Together, the curriculum prepares graduates to translate business strategy into successful project execution while leading teams through complex organizational challenges.

Graduates are prepared for advancement into analytical, strategic and management positions such as:

• Project Manager
• Program Manager
• Product Manager
• Implementation Manager
• Operations Manager

The combination of management and project planning, directing and delivery skills also prepares graduates to manage cross-functional teams, align strategy with execution and drive organizational success in today's dynamic business environment.

Completion of the Project Management track will also provide students with the required project management training hours to meet the education requirements for PMP certification exam eligibility. Students applying to the project management track follow the same admissions requirements, application process, tuition structure and completion requirements as the online master's in management program. Each spring, students in the online Master's in Management program are invited to Brown University’s campus in Providence, RI for a dynamic 2.5-day residential experience.

Held annually, this optional event offers students the opportunity to experience the Brown difference firsthand by:

• Connecting in person with peers and faculty
• Engaging in industry-focused workshops and sessions
• Expanding their professional networks in an inspiring Ivy League setting

While not required, participation is a valuable way to deepen connections, enhance learning and become part of the vibrant Brown community.
