Adjunct Associate Professor in Leadership

Biography

Dr. Carly Cooper is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Leadership in the School of Professional Studies and a Fulbright Specialist. Her work sits at the intersection of organizational change, culture, and technology, with a particular focus on how design thinking and artificial intelligence can transform employee experience and organizational alignment. In today’s environment of rapid technological disruption and cultural transformation, Dr. Cooper studies how leaders design inclusive systems, foster psychological safety, and harness human–AI collaboration to drive innovation and engagement. Her dissertation, The Impact of Advanced Technology on the Workplace and the Workforce, examined how Chief Learning Officers (CLOs) in large enterprises build strategies to reskill and prepare their organizations in the face of rapid technological change. 

Educated as a scholar-practitioner, Dr. Cooper integrates research and practice in her teaching and advisory work. She teaches graduate-level courses on organizational culture, leadership, and change management, where she is known for creating psychologically safe, engaging, and experiential learning environments. She brings a similar philosophy to her consulting practice, working with executives to design human-centered cultures and leverage AI-driven solutions that align employees with organizational purpose and values.

Beyond academia, Dr. Cooper has over 25 years of experience leading culture and transformation initiatives across technology, finance, consulting, and high-growth start-ups. She has held senior roles at SAP, Infosys, Barclays, and AI start-up Vianai.  She currently advises organizations on executive leadership, organizational culture, and AI adoption, while facilitating custom engagements. Her global employers and clients span industries, but her work is united by a commitment to equipping leaders and organizations to adapt, transform, and thrive amid technological disruption.
