F1 Student Visa

Brown will help facilitate the issuances of an F1 student visa. The visa issued is only valid during the times of the residential periods that take place in Providence, Rhode Island. With this F1 student visa, you are not able to come into the United States prior to the residential start period and you must leave the country after the completion of the residential period. Therefore, international students will be unable to stay in the U.S. in the months in-between these residential sessions at Brown.

You will need three F1 student visa’s issued during the program (one for each residential period).

Please email professional@brown.edu if you have any questions about the visa process.
