The Human Element of AI

Artificial intelligence is transforming work, leadership and society. Yet adoption fails when the “people” strategy is missing. Today’s leaders must move beyond simply implementing technology and focus on shaping a culture where human skills and AI capabilities work together to create a new level of performance —“co-intelligence.” This requires expertise in change management, communication and ethical governance.

Brown University’s Human-Centered AI: Integrating Technology & Human Potential course helps participants confidently guide this transition. Through six live virtual sessions, you’ll:

  • Define AI’s impact on your workforce and anticipate shifts in roles, skills and workflows
  • Build a responsible culture of co-intelligence (AI + HI) that strengthens human capability
  • Overcome resistance and manage the people side of AI-driven change
  • Communicate AI initiatives clearly and confidently across stakeholders
  • Integrate AI ethics and governance into your strategic roadmap

Your focus is not to write code — it’s to guide the human and organizational transformation that makes AI adoption effective, responsible and sustainable, and to lead your workforce into the future of work.

  • Executives and managers guiding AI-driven transformation, organizational change and workforce communication.
  • People and culture leaders in HR, learning and development, communications and organizational development building trust and human–AI collaboration.
  • Governance and risk professionals in ethics, compliance and legal roles responsible for fairness, accountability and transparency.

Why These Skills Matter

AI has the power to unlock extraordinary human potential if it’s implemented thoughtfully. According to recent research:

  • 72% of professionals fear their jobs will be replaced by AI (PwC, 2024).
  • 72% of employees say clear communication about AI’s ethical safeguards increases trust and adoption (Deloitte, 2024).
  • 83% of CEOs believe AI ethics will be a key differentiator for stakeholder trust in the next five years (PwC, 2024).

This program helps leaders replace fear with understanding. You’ll learn to lead conversations that inspire confidence, uphold integrity and ensure AI enhances the best of human intelligence: creativity, judgment and empathy. By focusing on the human side of AI, you position your organization to drive trust, minimize friction during adoption and maximize long-term competitive advantage.
