Biography

William (Bill) McCracken, LCSW, is a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Teacher Trainer at Brown University’s School of Professional Studies. He has taught mindfulness-based programs for Brown, Mindful Leader, and other organizations, supporting individuals in cultivating awareness, resilience, and emotional balance.

With nearly 30 years of meditation practice, his background includes extensive training in Zen and Daoist traditions, along with a long career in clinical social work. His approach integrates evidence-based mindfulness with contemplative wisdom, offering practical tools for well-being.

He finds deep fulfillment in sharing these practices and witnessing the transformative impact mindfulness can have in people’s lives.
