Biography

Michael P. Wright, EdD, is Vice President of Leadership Development at FM, based in Norwood, Massachusetts. He brings more than 25 years of experience advancing organizational talent strategies, strengthening leadership capability, and enabling inclusive cultures across complex global enterprises. His career has included leadership roles with Microsoft, Starbucks, Shaw Communications, Bank of Montreal, Constellation Energy, Invensys Plc, and Northwell Health, where he served as Vice President of Diversity and Health Equity and led the operational alignment and success of equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives across the health system.

Dr. Wright earned his doctorate through a joint program in business and workplace learning at the Wharton School and the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as a strategic advisor to AIIR Consulting, a global leadership development consultancy, where he leads strategy for the Elevate Project, a distinctive pro bono consulting initiative supporting nonprofit leaders around the world.

In addition, Dr. Wright is an associate professor of organizational behavior at the Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, and a former member of the school’s Dean’s Advisory Board. He has also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park, and has participated in doctoral committees for students in the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education’s business and workplace learning program. He currently serves as Board Chair for a consortium focused on reimagining talent, learning, and development.

Dr. Wright is co-author of Reigniting the Human Connection: A Pathway to Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity (Forbes Books, 2022), written with Jennifer H. Mieres, MD, and Elizabeth McCulloch, PhD. The book offers a holistic framework for embedding diversity, inclusion, and health equity into healthcare delivery, with lessons that are broadly applicable across industries.
