In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ACT/Brown have taken the decision to deliver the Leadership and Performance Program in the Summer 2020 virtually. While we are disappointed not to offer a classroom experience for our coaches, we are excited about the opportunity to deliver our Leadership and Performance Coaching Program to participants all over the world.   Our program will still maintain the same outstanding content that our participants would normally experience but delivered in a virtual, interactive format.  In a program which is underpinned by great learning technology you will have the opportunity to watch our leaders in action and learn through observation and practice.  In break out rooms you will have the opportunity to refine your coaching skills just as you would in the classroom.

Perfect for Professionals

Leadership and Performance Coaching is a critical professional development skill for senior leaders. This certification offers the unique opportunity to develop your full leadership potential, maximize team performance, and increase results in your workplace.

Build More Productive and Resilient Teams

Skilled performance coaching optimizes group effectiveness and efficiency. Coaching can also improve workforce retention rates and increase morale. Coach training allows an individual to scale their ability as a leader and teaches them to empower others— creating more independent and productive teams.

Gallup consistently reports that two-thirds of the US workforce is disengaged at work. Disengaged employees cost the United States somewhere between $450 and $550 billion annually. Employee disengagement can increase turnover, sabotage office culture, and lead to a greater number of oversights in the workplace. It’s crucial that we turn our attention to a skill too often neglected— forging human connection— understanding your fellow colleagues or employees beyond a transactional level.

Improve employee engagement and positively impact employee development, client satisfaction, and business performance— join ACT Leadership this Summer or Fall 2020!

Based in Science, Delivering Results

Coaching concepts are grounded in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and research in leadership effectiveness. Coaches hone critical leadership skills in the following areas:

  • Effective communication across teams and organizations
  • Innovative solutions
  • Decision making
  • Leading change
  • Critical thinking
  • Team and relationship building

Hands down, the best leadership course I have taken. ACT was absolutely fantastic in their approach, structure, and delivery of the content.

A Proven Approach

ACT’s Leadership & Performance Coach Training Certification Program is a six-month program, with three in-person experiential sessions supplemented with online group and individual learning. In-person sessions are held on the Brown University campus in Providence, Rhode Island.

Upon completion of the program, students receive a certificate of completion from ACT Leadership and Brown University School of Professional Studies.  The ACT Leadership and Performance Coaching Certification Program is approved for the Associate Certified Coach accreditation via the International Coaching Federation ACSTH pathway.
