Program Enrollment Information

The comprehensive tuition covers the academic program and related fees. It does not include travel, room and board for the residential sessions at Brown University or the experiential learning session. Books and materials that may be required for courses, or health insurance premiums are also not included. Health insurance with a U.S. carrier is required for all Brown students while on campus; students without coverage may purchase insurance from the University. Additional information and forms will be provided at a later date.

The majority of students enrolled in this program are self-supported. Graduate students who are US citizens or permanent residents may be eligible for loans through the Federal Direct Loan Program (including Stafford and Graduate PLUS loans). The university offers an Installment Payment Plan, which allows billed costs to be spread out over time.

Before the program starts, students have access to the online program orientation to become familiar with online learning, to get acquainted with their peers, and to prepare for the program with recommended readings.

Students work individually and collaboratively on one course at a time. Each course begins and ends in a face-to-face session, so students fully engage with their peers and faculty in the residential sessions and continuously online. Online learning is asynchronous. Students and faculty log in regularly for meaningful interaction and do so at times that are most convenient for them.

The Critical Challenge Project runs for the duration of the program and is integrated into every course. Students complete the program in 16 months, and return to Brown in May to receive their degree at the university graduation ceremony.

Additional Student Information

Third Party Billing Authorization

For the Executive Master’s programs, Brown accepts employer vouchers that are not contingent upon receipt of grades. Students whose employers or sponsors reimburse them for tuition and fees after receipt of grades must pay in full upon receipt of the Student Account Statement to avoid interest, late fees, and/or cancellation of registration. Under all circumstances, the charges for tuition and fees remain the responsibility of the student. If you are using this option, you will have to submit the Third Party Billing Authorization Form. For more information on third party billing, please contact the Bursar’s Office at Bursar@brown.edu or 401-863-2484.

Online Learning Technology

Each course within the program will be conducted either online or on-campus. To ensure you have the proper hardware and browsers to participate online, please review these Online Learning Technical Requirements.

To learn more, we invite you to visit our page on the benefits of Brown’s Executive format.

Student Conduct

Students are expected to read and abide by the policies in the Brown University Academic and Student Conduct Code.
