Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership
Transforming Leaders. Transforming Healthcare.
The Brown University Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership (EMHL) is a 16-month intensive degree program for healthcare professionals designed to cultivate visionary leaders to transform our healthcare organizations and to deliver outstanding products and services in this dynamic environment.
Positioned to Lead
Healthcare is undergoing rapid, disruptive and persistent change, and the public debate on cost, quality, and access to care continues. The Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership allows participants to gain a comprehensive perspective that goes beyond local concerns, and develop the knowledge and skills to create flexible, responsive and sustainable organizations across the healthcare industry.
Graduates are well-positioned to lead in the clinical, corporate, and public sectors; to interpret and use data for sound decision making; and to promote outstanding health care for patients as well as financial health for their organizations.
Diverse Cohort + Outstanding Faculty
Participants in the program benefit from Brown’s strength in public health, public policy, health economics, and evidence-based medicine. They examine the conditions and limitations of healthcare systems around the world and confront the challenges of reformulating them. Progressing through the program as a cohort, highly accomplished participants contribute significantly to peer-to-peer learning while working closely with expert faculty.
Flexible Learning + High Impact
Designed to meet the needs of working professionals, the program blends face-to-face and online learning, and features hands-on assessments of today’s healthcare landscape. Students gain immediately applicable knowledge and, through an individual Critical Challenge Project, devise actionable plans to address real-time healthcare challenges in their own organizations.
Powerful Professional Network
A strong professional network is at the root of growth, innovation, and opportunity. In-residence sessions are intentionally designed to allow students the maximum opportunity to engage, collaborate, and connect with their peers. Throughout the duration of the program students will have the opportunity during select in-residence sessions to broaden their network and leverage connections across cohorts.
Students graduate armed with a powerful professional network and cross-industry expertise to meet the demand for healthcare leaders.
