Bloodbuy Founder & CEO Chris Godfrey EMHL ’15 welcomes EMHL Class of 2020 Back to Campus

EMHL recently surveyed its alumni community and discovered that nearly one-third of our graduates went on to launch new businesses in healthcare. In celebration of our spirit of entrepreneurialism and the welcoming of EMHL Class of 2020 back to campus for their third residential session, we invited Chris Godfrey EMHL ’15 to speak to the new students about Bloodbuy, his award winning cloud-based technology company that connects hospitals and blood centers nationwide.

This event will be open to the public. To join in-person, please contact a Brown University Program adviser, or you can join via live-stream on May 6th at 1 pm EST.

Godfrey will return to his alma mater and discuss with the current students how his EMHL experience prepared him to launch the company, raise seed money, and close a successful first round of financing. He’ll also share what he has in store for the company’s future growth.

EMHL played a critical role in the launch and ongoing development of Bloodbuy, said Godfrey. I leveraged the EMHL capstone requirement to develop an Ivy vetted-business plan for Bloodbuy that reflected the cross-industry expertise from my outstanding cohort and the program’s cutting-edge faculty.

He continued,

I look forward to welcoming the EMHL Class of 2020 back to campus and engaging the larger EMHL public network to explore new opportunities in the rapidly evolving healthcare sector.

As healthcare disruption continues at a feverish pace, the growing EMHL community is hard at work driving new solutions to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve population health. We welcome EMHL Class of 2020 as they begin their third residential session on their transformative journey, taking cues from successful alumni along the way!
