Congratulations to Brown University Executive Master in Cybersecurity (EMCS) Class of 2019 Talya Parker on her new role in global privacy at Nike.
Parker is responsible for the review of all Converse’s digital products for consumer and internal users to ensure the implementation of proper privacy controls. She works closely with Converse’s product and engineering teams to monitor remediation activities and manage process improvements. She also liaises with other team members of the broader Nike Global Privacy team to maintain a portfolio of development efforts requiring privacy engagement for both Nike and Converse. Finally, she represents Converse’s Privacy team in day-to-day activities with the company’s business, legal, digital, and technology stakeholders.
Parker commented on her new role:
I am extremely proud to be part of Nike’s outstanding privacy team. EMCS provided critical preparation for my ability to assume this new role. In the program I’ve had the opportunity to learn from leading academics about the cutting edge of privacy regulation and how businesses can grow in a data-driven economy that protects every citizen’s critical right to privacy.
Parker spent the last four years at Deloitte where she began as a Cyber Risk, Senior Data Privacy Consultant until she was promoted to the U.S. Office of Confidentiality & Privacy, Lead Specialist. We wish Parker all the best in her new role.
