After a year and a half of long hours and rigorous breakthrough work, the Brown University Executive Master Class of 2018 spent commencement weekend celebrating their hard won achievements. Ninety forward-looking professionals received advanced degrees from Brown’s growing suite of executive master programs in cybersecurity, healthcare, science and technology, and business.
For the Class of 2018, there were many triumphs to toast. Their outsized commitment to go beyond conventional business thinking to impact industry was reflected in their career accomplishments during the course of their executive studies. Nearly half the Class of 2018 achieved promotions or industry advancements. Others received prestigious business and academic awards, started new and exciting ventures, published in popular industry outlets, filed patents, and presented at leading conferences.
Along with friends and family, the Class of 2018 reveled in Brown’s landmark 250th-year commencement festivities. They were serenaded by singer and activist Sting, kicked up their heels at the Brown Campus Dance, engaged as panelists on a women and innovation forum, received university honors for their outstanding work, donned their caps and gowns, and ultimately joined the other 2,741 members of the Brown Class of 2018 for the great honor of walking through the campus Van Wickle Gates to proudly emerge as Brown Alums.
We welcome you to peruse through the sights and sounds of this momentous weekend.
We look forward to seeing the Class of 2018 back at the Brown School of Professional Studies Executive Summit this November.
