Welcome graduating students, alumni, family, and friends to Providence for Brown’s Commencement and Reunion Weekend 2017. Together, we will celebrate the most recent graduates from the IE Brown Executive MBA and the Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership programs.
Commencement weekend offers a time for the Brown Executive Education community to both rejoice and reflect on the impact we’ve made on our careers, industries, and understanding of business leadership in today’s complex, digital and global economy. We’ve signaled to the world the need for rigorous critical, creative and cross-functional executive-level thinking to create a healthier, more inclusive, sustainable and prosperous society.
Commencement weekend kicks off with the legendary Brown Campus Dance and ends with the Brown graduating procession that includes one of the University’s oldest and most revered traditions – a concluding walk through the iconic Brown Van Wickle Gates.
Interspersed through the weekend are numerous gatherings to meet Executive Education graduating students and alumni from around the world and across the Brown expanding suite of industry-focused Executive Education programs – healthcare, science and technology, and cybersecurity – as well as our Executive IE Brown MBA.
We also encourage you to attend the Brown School for Professional Studies sponsored forum, Politics, Patients & Price: The Ongoing Saga of US Healthcare Policy. In this lively discussion, experts from Brown’s School of Public Health and the Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership program will shed light on this complex subject. The event takes place on Saturday, May 17 at 11 am at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society.
Though this promises to be a dizzying weekend of speeches, hugs, joy and dancing, let’s not forget the meaningfulness of what we’ve accomplished together and commitment to grow these bonds as we journey forward.
