Congratulations to Anthony Giordano, IE Brown 2017 on being named a 2016 Internationalist Agency Innovator for his work done while at MEC Dubai. This recognition by the Internationalist, a trusted source for international best practices, celebrates 30 individuals exploring new and nimble agency models and training approaches that are transforming the advertising agency business.
Giordano was awarded for his work overseeing seven divisions of Nestle in MEC Dubai. His core focus: developing simple, actionable paths forward to solve complex questions for MEC’s clients and industry. One such example is MEC Grassroots, an enabler to startups that quickly evolved into a profitable business center for the agency offering consultancy and strategy services to the startup community.
“It is an honor to be recognized with agency leaders from across the world, especially in an industry that is always innovating and evolving,” said Giordano. “While I have a strong background in media and agency business development, the IE Brown education supplements my experience across the full spectrum of core business functions along with the macro-level humanities context and leadership skills to enrich the business model and bring it to reality. I look forward to the rest of the program through May and to continue using the knowledge I’m gaining after graduation.”
Giordano began his career in MEC’s New York office supporting, then leading the agency’s business development initiatives. He played a significant role in a number of new client wins and processes. Currently, Giordano is a freelance Marketing Consultant while he travels and is enrolled in the IE Brown eMBA.
