Executive Coach and Career Advisor
Ms. Bua is an executive coach and career advisor with 17 years of experience coaching students, alumni and executives at Harvard Business School. She has a diverse business background, having worked across multiple industries and functions, including middle market investment banking, the public sector, healthcare consulting, venture capital and new business creation. She has been coaching individuals and facilitating groups of students and executives at HBS since 2002 on issues associated with leadership and career development. Her program experience includes coaching engagements with Harvard’s Program for Leadership Development, General Management Program, Owner/President Management Program, Leading Change through Organizational Renewal, 2+2, and New Path programs, as well as various custom programs. As inaugural head coach of the Program for Leadership Development, she advises the school on the development of materials to meet the learning objectives of faculty, coaches and participants.
Prior to her work as a coach, Ms. Bua served as a full-time consultant to Polaris Ventures Partners, a venture capital firm with over $3 billion under management, on the start-up of a new venture with two internationally recognized scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has also worked as a consultant with Health Advances where she assisted executives at both large and small healthcare companies with assessing the market potential and commercial feasibility of novel medical technologies and services.
Ms. Bua holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brown University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), prior elected member of Wellesley Massachusetts’ Town Meeting and appointed member of the executive committee of the Rivers School Conservatory in Weston.
