Southern US and Caribbean Managing Director, IE University

With experience in business development, general management, and marketing, Ivon’s diverse background stems from her love of entrepreneurship, business innovation, and concept creation. Ivon graduated Brown University with a double major in International Relations and Hispanic Studies and holds a joint Executive Masters in Business Administration from IE Business School and Brown University.

Ivon has been instrumental in the startup phase of numerous television stations including Telemundo Boston, Telemundo Hartford, Telemundo Providence, and the Caracol Miami station formerly known as GenTV. She is the founder of The 360 Group, a 360 degree marketing platform entertainment marketing company, and the owner of Fleur-de-Lis Designs, a floral design business. While engaged in studies with IE Brown, she served as the Vice President of Marketing for the private, non-profit Smithsonian affiliate HistoryMiami Museum. She currently serves as the Managing Director for IE University overseeing the growth of the institution and its programs in the Southern US and Caribbean.

A Miami native, Ivon resides in South Florida with her husband, Carlos Perez, an 8-year-old son, twin 6-year-old daughters, and 10-year-old Shar-Pei. She is active in her community through her leadership roles with the Junior League of Miami, a training organization addressing homelessness, domestic violence, and early childhood development and most recently served as their Vice President of Communications. She was recently named one of 20 Ford Motor Company’s Mujeres Legendarias of 2017 and was recognized for the pillars of Quality/Leadership. Ivon is an active member and president emeritus of both Brown University and IE Business School’s alumni networks. In both life and work she believes in a “people first” approach and strives to be a more empathic global citizen and leader.
